Part of our summer trip...

This past summer, the kids and I did our annual "tour of the South". We visited family in Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia. On the way down to the Hovies family reunion, we were able to take the kids to "the rocket". It is a rest area in northern Alabama. It was always neat as child for me to be able to stop there and get a free cup of Coke or water. The next generation got to have a little fun there too this summer. We have already been back to the south in the last several weeks and "the rocket" has become a landmark when traveling for the kids as it was for Spelly and me.

I remember watching for the rocket! Between home and Grandma's. Don't remember the free beverages though; maybe we never stopped...
